I build software
from first principles.
Annabella Proctor is a technologist and entrepreneur based in Orange County, California. She is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Grayworth, where she leads the development of Gray. What I build
Software should feel direct.
I work on the layer where product ideas meet compilers, networks, databases, and the operating system.
At Grayworth, I lead development of Gray: a commercial server language and runtime designed as one connected system. The work spans language semantics, native execution, asynchronous I/O, PostgreSQL continuations, adaptive deployment, developer tooling, and reproducible performance research.
The throughline
From game servers to a language.
Java game systems taught me that software is not abstract when millions of people experience it at once.
My path has crossed online game development, community operations, project management, electrical fieldwork, infrastructure consulting, business study, and systems engineering. Gray grew out of that mix: speed matters, but so do the people building with it and the pressure it can withstand.
